HACCP offers certifications for equipment, materials and services that are suitable for use in food establishments. To be eligible for certification, items must have an impact on food safety or contribute to it, for this reason Glasbord® has obtained the certification.
The classification system describes four physical areas and/or applications for which the product may be suitable for use in an establishment for food handling.
The SSZ class (area with splashes or spills) is for products that are suitable for use in food handling areas, such as kitchens and production and food processing areas, but they cannot come into direct contact with food or items that come into contact with food.
